there. vine is close overnight construction moving in the westbound and eastbound side, so still closed there. we will let you know when that opens. we have an accident here this one has all lanes blocked, route 30, white horse pike is blocked at jimmy leads road. use an alternate. jimmy leads road and tilt on road is your best bet. another accident in norristown dekalb street at spruce street. jim, over to you. new this morning philadelphia police are interviewing neighbors after a man was shot and kill in the a hail of gunfire on his own front porch. was gun down on the porch of his home on the 6,000 block of van dike street just before midnight. police say man was shot at close range and investigators collect at least ten spent shell casings from the scene. >> due to the fact that this victim was shot multiple times, it appears that this victim was the intended target. now we do not have a

description of the shooter or shooters, at this time. we don't have a motive. >> police are also checking neighborhood security cameras they say several in the area are pointed toward the scene of that shooting. philadelphia police say they are also investigating a fatal crash on roosevelt boulevard. they say that the one car accident, happened around 10:30 last night at wakeling street. police tell "eyewitness news" that one person died when the car hit a tree. they say another person was rush to a nearby hospital, in word on their condition. well, first lady michelle obama will be in philadelphia campaigning for hillary clinton. the first lady will be at lasalle university at noon and then she's off to pittsburgh. meantime hillary clinton is campaigning with bernie sanders in new hampshire. the clinton pick up a big endorsement from the arizona republic the first time the newspaper endorsed a democrat in its 120 year history. on the republican side, donald trump is making several stops in various states today, he is having rallies in

"eyewitness news" was in northeast philadelphia where members of the group power protested police shooting and killing men in charlotte and tulsa. they called for an end to the stop and frisk policy. >> policing in the city, the continuation of stop and frisk, the continued brutality particularly in communities of color, not only here in philadelphia but across the country has got to stop. >> we have talk to several of the leaders who wanted to come out and voice their displeasure and certain conditions that they feel are owe rest i have and they are unhappy with. >> fraternal order of police

out to sea. we are stuck with several days worth of unsettled weather. we have wetter period then others, future weather showing up well, i think but lets look at from thousand to late this morning those storm cells off to the southwest they might try to move in the del marva peninsula but overall we will stay dry through the majority of the the day, it is not until later on as early as 3:00 p.m. a sprinkle pops up, and here we go that plume, starts to move in, 7:00 p.m., give or take, tail end of the typical evening rush is when heavier rain starts to emerge and it comes through somewhat scattered in nature but where you get hit you will get hit hard and that will linger into tomorrow morning until 9:00 in the morning we are still dealing with that and right through the rest of the day as the time stamped out here even toward 11:00 p.m., pockets of rain and showers. so with that said this system again still hanging on to friday and very likely saturday. i cannot rule out a shower at sunday at this point. it will hang tough. so for now expect quiet

today is wednesday september 28th, good morning, i'm jim donovan. i'm brooke thomas. the katie and meisha are here keeping an eye on things this morning. >> well, good morning, lots of construction, a couple accidents and news of the water main break as well. the busy morning in the world of travel. >> it is still quiet weather-wise. we have had rain to contend with so that is not an issue. it becomes an issue by tonight. next storm is already here so this break between systems is brief but for now storm scan is quiet. you can see off the two southwest. let me zoom it out, you can see thunderstorm activity firing up here south of the nation's capitol and again, lightening reported with it. i don't think we will worry ourselves with this as we go through the morning, perhaps some of this reaches portions of the del marva pens will but rest of us are quiet for now but later on tonight, next area of low pressure does move in. quiet start to the day, expect you will not need any rain gear for majority of the day but later
